👨🏿Yasuke: The First African Samurai👺

The original name of Yasuke is unknown but Yasuke was enslaved by Italian missionary groups that eventually arrived at Japan around the late 1500s. One of the Japanese daimyo's (or lord's), Oda Nobunaga heard about a man with charcoal skin that was over 6 feet and wanted to meet him so the Italian missionary group went over and showed Nobunaga,Yasuke. Nobunaga and the others were in awe of this man so he decided to borrow Yasuke and turn him into a samurai. Yasuke has fought through a couple of wars and he was able to speak a little bit of Japanese. Nobunaga also trusted Yasuke so much that he would let Yasuke carry his favorite spear...Later in the years Nobunaga was assassinated so Yasuke and the other warriors tried to fight the enemies but unfortunately Yasuke was captured and not much was known about Yasuke after that😭🔴This was just a summary of Yasuke, there's a book about him which I'm definitely going to be reading soon🔥 This was also Black History Month but I couldnt wait.
